Taking Flight: How Dayton International Airport’s Paid Articles Reached New Heights in Promoting the Region

OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project was to promote the Dayton region as a business destination and increase awareness of new nonstop flights established by the Dayton International Airport.

CHALLENGE: The Dayton International Airport wanted to attract new businesses to the region and increase the usage of new nonstop flights. They needed a way to reach potential clients and showcase the benefits of doing business in the Dayton area.

SOLUTION:
Hannah Krafka, Associate Communication Director at Nova Creative, worked closely with the Dayton International Airport to create a series of paid articles promoting the Dayton region in business journals. The articles highlighted the benefits of doing business in the Dayton area and showcased the new nonstop flights established by the airport. The articles were strategically placed in business journals to reach potential clients who were likely to be interested in the region.

RESULTS:
One of the best articles in the series saw over 2,700 visitors with a 97% scroll rate and 80% scroll depth. The articles generated a lot of interest in the Dayton region and increased awareness of the new nonstop flights. The project was considered a success as it met its objective of promoting the Dayton region as a business destination and increasing awareness of the new nonstop flights. The airport reported an increase in passenger traffic, and several new businesses were attracted to the region as a result of the campaign.
